Sharing Stories

I have always loved stories—hearing them, writing them, and telling them.

I am the author of Scholastic Book Clubs’ early chapter books The Truth About Unicorns, The Truth About Bigfoot, and The Truth About Dragons, as well as Lerner Publishing’s nonfiction titles Causes of Climate Change and Climate Change Activism.

As a storyteller, I’ve shared stories in schools and libraries throughout the Southeast, at the St. Louis Storytelling Festival, the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival in Utah, and lots of wonderful places in between. I’ve conducted storytelling workshops for teachers, media specialists, and librarians throughout the Southeast, as well.

More than anything, I love working with children, whether it’s sharing stories together, talking about writing, or helping them develop their own voices as writers and storytellers.
